Municipality, district or state: whom you want to reach

For municipal products the municipality is the right addressee, for official procedures often the district authority. In statutory cities such as Graz, Linz or Salzburg, the city council performs both roles.

Municipalities are legal persons under public law; their official address is not personal data. The export does not contain names of mayors or staff.

Marketing emails and sales calls to municipal offices require prior consent (§ 174 TKG 2021). A letter to the municipal office is the usual way to send product information.
